Great coffee and very nice location!
Got the java papatong and it was rich, delicious and well-extracted. Definitely got some of that black tea notes, as well as some dried fruit. Wonderful coffee.
The location is spacious and rustic. Lots of seating and open space. Great place to hang out!
Enjoyed my time here--a wonderful spot to buy beans or just chill!

A Portland Must-Visit for Coffee Lovers
Coava Coffee Roasters is a Portland institution, and for good reason. Their dedication to quality, from sourcing the beans to the final pour, is evident in every cup.
What I loved:
* Exceptional Coffee: Coava sources some of the best beans in the world, and their roasting skills are top-notch. The result is a complex and flavorful cup, whether you prefer espresso or pour-over.
* Inviting Atmosphere: The cafes have a modern, industrial-chic vibe that's both stylish and comfortable. It's the perfect place to relax with a book or catch up with friends.
* Knowledgeable Staff: The baristas are passionate about coffee and happy to answer questions or make recommendations. They clearly take pride in their craft.

The coffee is unbeatable. Large tables inside. Outlets and seats along the wall. I equate the staff to amusement park staff, they know where they work is an attraction, but they are over the glitz and glamor. Too cool for school vibes for sure.
Can't knock it though, still my favorite coffee shop, hands down!

Loved the space/atmosphere... huge warehouse type building with the high ceilings and industrial feel, as the café doubles as a woodshop in the off hours - very efficient use the building. the espresso was exceptional as well.. my only comment is, the baristas, as i have noticed in a few oregon cafés, seem to take themselves a little too seriously in a sort of pretentious way... call it hipster arrogance.. i dunno... was more humourous than annoying... be more kind... and less chemist.... but hey, it was a perfect espresso drink..

This is my spot for anything milk based. Every now and then they have an espresso shot really dialed in. The overall space, culture, and chill feeling here is awesome. The only deal is that employee culture can greatly vary based on times you go. Some less inviting and friendly than others, but that is to be expected.
