The service, wow, if you're lucky enough to be seated in Eric's section, you are in for the best service you have ever had.
Quickly, I had a warmed mug in my freezing hands and hot water for my tea. What a pleasant treat!
We certainly didn't have a wait for our food, which was a delicious meal.
I was extremely surprised by the experience.
It's worth the stop for sure 💯

I really miss Elmer's at Delta Park and I'm really glad there's one still here.
And it's exactly how I remember it.
It's hard to explain but there's something that is just so Pacific Northwest about the place.
It literally makes you believe you went back in time where everything is just great.
The conversation across the table from me was a religious one and this was on a Friday by the way.
So many good people on the inside and let me tell you the service was absolutely wonderful exactly how I remember it.
They only complaint that I could possibly make is that the booth that I sat and had a little bit of "Large Marge" Trucker Tookus 😄.
As I walked in there was a basketball player in the parking lot who was scoping out an open car, so be weary of that.
You know sometimes the timing of me just kind of walking someplace and seeing things is really kind of surreal or serendipitous.
I did alert the stuff inside and I think they took care of it, but there's really not much they can do about the outside.
The food absolutely was made exactly how I wanted it I like my hash browns crispy and they made it exactly that way..
The eggs benedict was absolutely fantastic.
I ordered the avocado and tomato Benedict with a side of gravy that also complemented the breakfast nicely.
They also have a wide selection of hot sauces and condiments and everything was perfectly clean on the ketchup as well. ( pet peeve of mine admittedly )
What sets Elmer's apart is the atmosphere, and it's lovely on the inside.
There was also a birthday party going on so yeah it was a great time 😊.
Oh and the busboys are on top of their game in the tables are absolutely clean and nothing was sticky or dirty at all.
The utensils could have been at a higher caliber, but these are small quibbles.
Overall , highly recommended for anyone seeking a warm inviting family breakfast with German excellence with a PNW feel.

Elmer's is what it is. We know what we're getting when we come here. Consistently great service with staff having a personality. Perfectly prepared everything. I'm always satisfied. Everything keeps getting more expensive, but Elmer's is still an excellent value. I love to go mid week, because a lot of people know how great this place is and save it for the weekend. But it's a family-friendly cafe style open dining room. The wait is never too long for me to wait for a great meal.

Service was AWESOME!! Pancakes were good but seriously hate fake syrup. Eggs Benedict was better than most diners. I did have to send back my Beni because the English muffin was undercooked and mushy with hollandaise. The hashbrowns were undercooked. The second time they were better but still undercooked…I ate them. For the price they charged, I wanted perfect diner Hashbrowns. I know they say Portland has great water but I thought it was awful and so did my husband. Did love that they used real glass and not plastic. I would eat here again, with more instructions on my hashbrowns. Elmers was cozy inside and clean. I did not like the code on bathrooms and the bathroom themselves were tore up, old and smelt the same way as well. Hubby and I both agreed.

OMG!!! The pancakes are the BEST I have ever had. I ate 4 of them! They were so light and delicious. I WILL be back sooner than later. Also, our server Cindy was awesome. She offered great advice and provided options for the best way to get my desired food choice for the best price. Lastly the place was clean and friendly.
